Top 5 Twitter Hashtag Fails by Brands of 2014
#OverIt2014
2014 has been a year full of things we don’t want to see in the New Year. What are YOU over? Comment with #OverIt2014 pic.twitter.com/FjE8C989d3 — FOX & Friends (@foxandfriends) December 30, 2014
It’s undisputed that Fox News is a very highly rated network. It’s also undisputed that it’s online image is not positive. This is a case of someone with their fingers stuck in their ears and their eyes closed refusing to see or hear anything but their own voice. Fox News needs an honesty mirror. Even if you believe the nonsense they make-up report you can’t be blind to the deafening opposition to Fox News’ version of events. Anyone claiming expert status in social media or even someone who has ever been on the Internet could have told you that Fox was going to be on the receiving end of some Twitter tough love with this one.
Fox and fans aren’t known to really think things through but posting up the above tweet referencing something as asinine and divisive as “I’m over attacks against Christianity” was not going to win you any Internets for the day. Had they led of with something a bit more playful they might have had a better shot but this just further solidified what their critics already thought of them. And this is what they thought of them:
I’m over fake wars, fake fears, fake patriotism, fake stories, fake blondes, fake Christians, fake outrage and Benghazi #OverIt2014

You asked for it. Fox got a heaping helping of their own version of fair and balanced?
